a little bit of light in our hearts

I felt a little sad when i woke up this morning and wondered what could cheer me up...
Did some weeding in the garden and then went to feed the chickens and there he was: the little bit of sunshine, so happy, so alive,
singing along, out to discover the big world.

It's just a little chicken but it made my day and filled my heart with the little bit of light that was missing.
