School is out for the summer, and the kids in the neighborhood have been busy playing school with all the notebooks they hauled home the last day.
I am at work, attempting to concentrate here in my nook, while Gilles hammers away in the background, laying the floor for Camille's future bedroom. There's been swimming and weeding and picnics, drowsy buzzy bugs and faded poppies, lemonade, peaches and cherries, afternoons with all the shutters closed up tight to keep the house cool, and long lazy evenings outside...
