While I am still firmly entrenched in my work week of the 21st century, the much awaited day of June 12th, 1010 is fast approaching. The hamlet is bustling with activity, and from my office I hear industrious pounding and sawing. The straw has arrived - on loan from a neighbouring farm, the Joyeux Pendu tavern is looking more taverny each day, banners, flags and a growing pile of medieval blouses and capes are getting their last stitches, spiced wine is steeping, and signs are being lettered... Just think of all the folk already afoot for the feast. Godspeed and safe journey to them on the roads of our fair country!
