Good ol' February

I hear the groundhog saw his shadow, and indeed, winter seems far from over. The water in the chicken coop is frozen solid and snow tyres are the new hot topic these days.
By happenstance, a goat has come to live in our hamlet, adopted by our big-hearted neighbour Nicole; the goat had two still-born kids a few days ago and her owners didn't want to keep her, so Nicole made her a home in an empty barn and has been faithfully milking her morning and night. Needless to say, we are all totally smitten. She is the sweetest goat you've ever seen, pure white and named appropriately "Neige".
We are branching off into teams of two this week for a winter adventure - Gilles and Louise to the Pyrenees, and Camille and I to Paris and London by train. So coming soon, new stories from farther horizons on the pointy house blog...
