Having replaced the wooden beams that suppport the ceiling with nice new oak ones, Gilles went at the walls with the help of the girls. That's lime stucco - yessirree! Then heftier help came along to lay the floor - cement mixers, tractors and big, strong papas.
My job was kitchen and kid duty (a houseful of fun little girls) and in spite of the rain, we had a great day. Now the basement is looking so nice, I'm thinking it would make a fine new kitchen, with bay windows looking out at garden. Hmmmm....
