blackwater treatment system

This is our major project lately. G has masterminded this whole affair, but I got to help this week with some earth moving and pipe rigging. The series of three basins will be filled with various stones and aquatic plants, filtering our house's used water from "black" to non-polluting and crystal clear!

  2. That looks really exciting. I want to hear more as you update and add plants. I just ordered a book about ecological system design. It has information on waste water treatment and constructed wetlands. Its the coming thing. Plus it will be really cool to have in your yard. Maybe youll get some frogs and stuff.

Wow this looks really cool, What a good use of energy and a lasting solution to the septic issue. Gilles must have some good rubber boots to mix the lime in the tank to seal it with!!!
